We proudly announce that Kirsten Friedrichs, co-owner of adept24, has joined the GCBA board of directors as Director of Communications, Marketing, and Media.

This follows the recent stepping down of long-serving President Beatrice Schreiber and Secretary Elke Porter. Kirsten Friedrichs brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the GCBA. In her new role, she is eager to work alongside the newly appointed President, Andrea Basche, to reinvigorate the association and drive its mission forward.

The GCBA’s renewed mission emphasizes promoting the products, services, and expertise of its members, fostering social engagement, and making a positive impact within the community. This mission is structured around three key pillars: Business, Social, and Community.

  • Business: The GCBA aims to support and promote the economic interests of its members, providing opportunities for networking, collaboration, and professional growth. The association will focus on showcasing the diverse array of products and services offered by its members, facilitating business connections, and advocating for their interests.
  • Social: The GCBA is committed to fostering a vibrant social environment where members can connect and build relationships. Social events and gatherings will provide a platform for members to share experiences, celebrate achievements, and enjoy a sense of camaraderie.
  • Community: The GCBA seeks to make a positive impact on the broader community through various initiatives and partnerships. By engaging with community organizations and supporting local causes, the association aims to enhance the quality of life for everyone involved.

To kick off this renewed mission, the GCBA has already planned two exciting events. The first is a cocktail night designed to introduce the new board and inspire new businesses in the community to join the association. This event will be an excellent opportunity for networking and celebrating the new direction of the GCBA.

Following the cocktail night, an exclusive tour at Cellcentric, a 50:50 joint venture between Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group, has been arranged by member Andreas Truckenbrodt. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to visit Cellcentric’s state-of-the-art plant for fuel cell stacks, gaining insight into cutting-edge technology and innovations in the industry.

Kirsten Friedrichs expressed her enthusiasm about joining the board and supporting the new mission: “I am very much looking forward to working with Andrea Basche and the rest of the board. Together, we will focus on promoting our members’ products and services, enhancing social engagement, and making a significant impact in our community.”

We are excited about the future of the GCBA and look forward to the contributions and leadership of its new board members. With a renewed mission and a strong team in place, the association seems to be poised for a dynamic and impactful year ahead.
